Nintendo Switch 2 ended its debut summer with record-breaking sales numbers, according to data from research firm Circana. Sharing the firm's monthly sales report for August on Bluesky, Circana executive director Mat Piscatella stated that 2.4 million Switch 2 units were sold in the US during its first three months on the market, surpassing the record set by the PlayStation 4, which had sold 2.2 million units in its first three months. That makes Switch 2 the fastest-selling home console in the US through this timeframe.
