Film and TV News

While I have primarily written news regarding video games or the Greater Philadelphia region, many of my news writing positions also had me pull from my expertise on film and television. Below are news stories from various publications that touch on happenings in that industry.

What to stream this week: 'Futurama,' 'Kite Man' and 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes'

But on the television side, all I spotted was one scene that may elicit despondency from fans.

Birds of Prey trailer has Harley Quinn in a new stage of life

It's easy to be skeptical of anything Joker or Harley Quinn-related that DC Films and Warner Bros. puts out after Suicide Squad. That disaster of an Oscar-winning film established the 'edgy' corner of the DC movies that no one really asked for, and it's fair if you thought that the Cathy Yan-directed Birds of Prey looks the same. The new trailer will certainly have its naysayers, but you know what? I'm in.
